Fundraising is a great way of helping us support those with Marfan syndrome. It also means that we can continue our vital research into the condition. The money you raise, whether large or small, will make a huge difference to the lives of many people affected by Marfan syndrome.
There are hundreds of different ways you can raise money for the Marfan Trust, whether it’s organising a quiz or karaoke night, or taking part in a sponsored run or walk. Virtual Fundraising Ideas
Virtual Quiz, Games, Trivia or Bingo Night
Bring your local to you and your friends by hosting a quiz or a games night on Zoom, Skype or Google Hangouts. Be the ultimate quizmaster or taskmaster, let your imagination run wild and create the most interesting questions or scenarios. All you need to do is set up a fundraising page on JustGiving or Virgin Money Giving and ask all attendees to donate.
Sponsored Clear Out
Are you finally resorting to doing the chores you’ve put off for weeks, months or even years. Well a great way to make it even more interesting, is to get people to sponsor you clearing out that shed or wardrobe. Even better if you can then sell your unwanted possessions and donate the proceeds to us as well!
Virtual Book Club
Utilising this time to be book-ed in with a good riveting book? Why not make it more fun and set up a virtual book club? Donate the money you would have spent on snacks and drinks each time to Marfan Trust.
Share Your Skills
Remember all the time and effort you’ve invested in learning a skill, well ...share it. If you are a seasoned yogi, cook, baker, knitter, gardening guru etc. Why not set up a date/time to share your skill via Zoom, Skype, YouTube, Social Media etc. and ask for a donation to Marfan Trust from all those who attend/view your session?
If you are up to it, why not take on some fun challenges. We’ve got two here to get you started - A physical challenge: For every £10 raised, you commit to climbing flights of stairs, doing a number of push-ups, planks, or some other physical feat or A “Dare” challenge: For every £10 raised, you commit to doing something that a friend dares you to do.
Get your disco gear on and dance yourself dizzy. If you're very brave, video yourself and share the evidence. You could also make a real night of it and do this with your friends via Zoom.
Stream your gaming marathon and get sponsored. You can do this either solo or in team.
