Workers at the company Vanson Bourne (VB) took part in a rowing challenge for the Marfan Trust and the Royal Brompton Hospital in their offices without so much as dipping their toes in the water. With a little help from their friends, two rowing machines were lent to the company for the day so that VB workers could compete against each other in teams, with the winning team being the first to row 42km.

The workers therefore divided themselves into two teams (Green and Pink) and then took on this challenge with great determination and good humour. As you can see from the picture, some of the workers even dressed for the occasion. The teams were neck-and-neck throughout the row, but the last 500 meter sprint was incredibly tense and the Green team managed to just get ahead and reach that 42km mark first. It was very close with the Pink team just thirty meters (about 10 seconds!) behind. Overall VB managed to raise a grand total of £1,672 for both charities. This is fantastic and we are ever so grateful! Go team VB!
