St. George's Committed to Marfan Syndrome Treatment

St. George’s is committed to the treatment of Marfan syndrome and looking after patients. This care includes clinic consultation, genetic testing of the patients and their families, performing relevant investigations and determining the best treatment option including surgery. The team continues to perform a range of operations for patients with conditions affecting their heart.

St George's has one of the largest series of these operations performed in the UK with excellent results, on par with the top international centres. We also provide care and counselling after surgery with appropriate investigations during follow-up.

The team at St. George's was awarded the 2018 BMJ Clinical Leadership Team Award for management of aortic aneurysm and aortic valve disease and strives to provide excellent care for our patients.
