Lucy Atkinson - My Journey Through Blogging
Happy December Everyone! I'm not taking part in Blogmas this year as I'm not always able to sit at my computer typing for long periods due to my chronic health conditions. It wouldn't be possible to write a blog a day throughout the month so instead I'm just going to share some of my highlights. I've had a very accomplished year in terms of blogging & it's become my strongest passion. I'm overjoyed to be ending the year as a Voluntary Blogger for not just one but TWO charities close to my heart! Hypermobility Connect and the Marfan Trust have both kindly given me the opportunity to exercise my blogging skills by giving me a role as a Volunteer Blogger for their online pages. I'm happy to be making a small contribution towards supporting such meaningful causes, especially since I am personally affected by Marfan syndrome and Hypermobility.
Blogger has become a very reliable form of support for me over the last year and I've developed a special kind of love for writing. Sometimes it's been my only friend when I've needed to offload my distressed feelings. I mustn't forget to mention the fact that I've built up a strong readership of people from all over the world who have been sending supportive messages to me since the start of my blogging journey. If it wasn't for them and their continuous encouragement, as well as their thousands of views every month, I might not have decided to carry on blogging.
I owe each and every person a really big Thanks for making me feel a little less alone in the world. I now hope to carry on impressing myself with my blogging achievements as we head into 2018. A Professional Writer contacted me a few months ago to let me know that my blogging skills are up there with some top Bloggers! Which was overwhelming news for me to hear but it spurred me on even more. It's just a shame I can't blog more often due to back problems but I'll continue to do what I can, when I can, which has worked out well so far.
