Dr Caroline Carr MA(Oxon) MBBS FRCA
Before her recent retirement, Caroline Carr was Clinical Director and Consultant Anaesthetist at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. She has been professionally involved with Marfan patients at various times in her career, most notably at Harefield Heart Hospital where Professor Magdi Yacoub performed open heart surgery for Marfan patients with aortic root involvement. At Moorfields Hospital she anaesthetised Marfan patients from time to time who had eye complications such as cataract, lens dislocation or retinal detachment. Her involvement with the Marfan Trust is through her brother who was diagnosed with Marfan syndrome in childhood.
